Wednesday 30th January 2019 8:50 am
We are looking forward to welcoming current and new students back to school on Wednesday the 30th of January 2019. School will begin at 8:50am. Students are welcome at school anytime after 8:00am and are encouraged to find their new/existing syndicates and familiarise themselves with classroom set-ups for Term 1.
Syndicates have signs indicating where they are situated and are organised as follows:
Tipu (Year 0-2) Currently working in the hall while renovations take place.
Mahuri (Year 3-4) Across the school quad area directly behind the sandpit and before the school field.
Kahure (Year 5-6) To the left hand side of the school behind the netball court.
Aronui (Year 7-8) Directly behind the large oak tree at the front of the school.
On the first day we have a pōwhiri to welcome new students and their families to the school. This will take place on Wednesday the 30th at 8:50am and will last for approximately 30 minutes. Whanau of new students are warmly invited and encouraged to attend. Please gather together at the gate by the large oak tree at the front of the school and we will assist with the process.
Students do not need to bring their own stationery - it is pre-purchased by the school and will be charged to your family stationery accounts. These items are already in classrooms ready for the start of the year. Individual syndicates will outline any additional requirements in their class newsletters.
Students need to bring their lunch, drink bottle and wear sensible school clothing. New students will require a clearly named navy blue bucket hat which can be purchased from school, The Warehouse or NZ Uniforms. Exisiting students already have hats allocated to them at school.
